Center for Entrepreneurship and Development Research (CEDR) organized a one day EIBIC workshop/Training for all year one students in all the Faculties in the University on the 23rd September, 2026. The training took place simultaneously in all the Faculties. The EIBIC program is a compulsory, University-wide certification progamme for all undergraduate students from 100 level to final year. The programme is designed to equip students with entrepreneurial, innovation and business incubation competencies for self-reliance and employability.
The Big Vision (10-Year Goal):
- Train 2, 000,000 students yearly on entrepreneurship and innovation
- Create 1,000,000 student-preneurs yearly
- Help students register their businesses and patent innovations
- Create 5,000,000 new jobs in 10 years
- Grow 500 student businesses to attract one hundred million dollars investment each
Upon completion, students receive an additional certificate in entrepreneurship as a minor degree to complement their major degree.
